About Norland Avenue Pharmacy

Owner Wayne Myers attended Shippensburg University where he earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry, with a minor in psychology. Wayne earned his Pharm. D. at the University of Maryland Baltimore.

Norland Avenue Pharmacy LLC opened it's doors in the Summit Health Center in February of 2001 with four employees. From the beginning, Wayne and Wendy aimed to glorify God through the business.

Internally, as the pharmacy settled into the prescription business, Wayne started focusing on compounding and supplements. Pharmacy staff completed training with the Professional Compounding Centers of America and began offering customized medications that weren’t available anywhere else in area.

In 2008 the pharmacy began offering free monthly seminars to educate and inform the public about specific health issues including Hormone Replacement Therapy, Cholesterol, Adrenal Fatigue, and Digestion. The Norland Rewards program was introduced in February of 2009 and by April of 2011 more than 7,000 members had joined.

In 2011, the pharmacy automated their dispensing process with a ScriptPro Robotic Prescription Dispensing System. This allows the pharmacy team to spend more time focusing on the customers, while the robot fills many of the most popular prescriptions.

In 2016, Wayne decided to go the extra mile to ensure practitioners and patients that the custom medications being made in our compounding lab were the best possible quality. After months of work, the pharmacy earned Accreditation from the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB). Norland is the only local compounding pharmacy to have achieved this Accreditation.

Always striving to care for the customers, Wayne has tried different offerings throughout the years; but the focus continues to be on glorifying God and getting and keeping people healthy through a blend of traditional and non-traditional treatment methods.
